The 33 lessons in the general music module review and reinforce music literacy, promote unity and discuss diversity, introduce songwriting, and expose students to live performances. Students will perform, read, notate, compose, improvise, listen to, and evaluate music, and are introduced to choral octavo style. The lessons also include studies in history and culture as they relate to making meaningful connections between music, theatre, dance, and visual art. Popular, classical, and world music are used to illustrate ideas.
